1. Day 1: Saigon–Phnom Penh (Dinner)

   An afternoon flight from Saigon to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. At the airport we obtain your Cambodian photographic visa before checking into our hotel.

   We then visit the Independence Monument and Wat Phnom: Phnom Penh’s oldest shrine, for which the city is named.

2. Day 2: Phnom Penh (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

   After breakfast at the hotel we visit the National Museum, Silver Pagoda and the fabulous Royal Palace.

   Following lunch is a visit to Toul Sleng Museum and the Killing Fields, where Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge committed genocide on the Cambodian people.
   (This part of the tour is optional as it is quite graphic.)

3. Day 3: Phnom Penh–Siem Reap (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

   We depart Phnom Penh at 7.30am to Siem Reap (5½ hours by bus.) Siem Reap is our base for exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer empire.

   After lunch we visit the Artisans d’Angkor workshop. In late afternoon, enjoy the beautiful sunset from Phnom Bakheng.

4. Day 4: Siem Reap (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

   We start the day with a trip to the city of Angkor Thom. Take in the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, the Royal enclosure, the Elephant and Leper King Terraces; and the fabulous Ta Prohm, embraced by the roots of the enormous fig trees.

   In the afternoon we visit Angkor Wat temple, the most renowned Khmer temple. That evening we attend a Buffet dinner with an APSARA presentation at a local restaurant.

5. Day 5: Siem Reap (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

   We continue to explore Siem Reap: the floating villages of Tonle Sap Lake, the Cambodia Cultural Village, and finishing with shopping in the Market.

6. Day 6: Siem Reap (Breakfast)

   We take breakfast at the hotel before transferring to the Airport for our flight back to New Zealand.
